Emission drill-down: click a bar to look inside it
This prototype shows the proposed behavior for feedback item 5 in the dashboard's light theme, with bars grouped by year exactly as the live chart shows them. Click any country bar in any year to see the business units inside that country; switch to "By business unit" and click a bar to see its countries. The numbers are invented. Anything drawn with a dashed border is a demo aid or a simplified stand-in, not proposed UI; everything else is the proposed design.
Stand-in: the dashboard's company-wide overview cards
Simplified placeholder, not proposed UI. It represents the existing Emission Trend and stacked totals cards that sit above the chart on the live dashboard. It is here only to demonstrate one rule: company-wide cards step aside during a drill and return when you go back.

What to check against the design document
Multiple years, like the live chart. The year chips select one or more years; bars cluster by year with one color per entity, matching the live dashboard's layout. The chips themselves are only a compact stand-in for the dashboard's existing year filter, which does not change.
Both directions. Country into business units, and business unit into countries (use the toggle first).
All four charts move together. The main chart and the three scope charts always tell the same story.
Only the main chart drills. Scope chart bars are display only. The breadcrumb above the main chart is the way back.
Filters survive the drill. Add or remove years while drilled and you stay inside. The group-by toggle exits the drill. The entity selector is paused during a drill so your selection is kept for the way back.
Missing combinations disappear. Drill into Singapore: no Packaging or Material Handling bars in any year, because no Singapore site belongs to them in this sample.
Empty views explain themselves. Drill into Philippines, then leave only 2023 selected: the sample has no 2023 data there, and the chart says so with a way out. With 2024 or 2025 also selected, the 2023 cluster simply has no bars while the other years show normally.
Company-wide cards step aside. The two stand-in cards above the chart hide during a drill and return on the way back.
One level only. Bars inside a drill do not drill further.
Colors are fixed per entity in every view and every year, using the dashboard's chart palette. Hover any bar for its year, value, and share of that year's displayed total.
